Jean lives within a small hamlet in the beautiful Shropshire countryside with her husband, horses and dogs. She believes that everybody has the right to achieve optimum health without the use of unnecessary drugs. Jean is a firm believer in holistic health care whereby the whole of the bodymind is taken into account when diagnosing illness. By correcting old thought patterns, habits of movement, diet and lifestyle she believes the body is given a chance to then perform at its best resulting in a general feeling of happiness and well-being.
After a lifetime working with horses Jean started to study Equine Shiatsu and became a practitioner in 2003. She soon realised that most horse problems are caused by the rider/owner/trainer and, as a result, Jean decided to study human Shiatsu. She graduated in 2007 after an intense 3 years training with the Shiatsu College, Hastings. Whilst at college Jean became interested in Qi Gong as an excellent way to enhance her Shiatsu treatments and so became an instructor. Jean went on to complete First Aid Acupuncture Needling on the Limbs and Moxibustion which she also found complimented some Shiatsu treatments for certain ailments.
In 2014 Jean studied Shin Tai after realising the power of this therapy alongside Shiatsu and is now a qualified Shin Tai practitioner too.
